Combining a gritty, heavy bass, southern sound with a west coast, witty swag.  The group consisted of four members:  Six Reasons, Choc Nitty, KP & T-Dawg.  Giving some memorable performances at legendary venues throughout Hollywood, the team gained notoriety and made history as first unsigned rap group to be featured on the front page of "LA Weekly".

Apprenticeship

Key mentioned a long-time relationship with music industry veteran Jeff Christie.  "Jeff was able to get me around songwriters like John Legend and Kid from Kid-N-Play  ...as well as producers like Kanye West and Pharrel Williams..  these guys are all very impactful to me, their style of songwriting and production helped me develop in a unique way".  Through these mentorships Key was able to expand his understanding of creativity and take his craft to the next level.  "Yeah i've had mentors along the way ...i've learned things from them that i'd never learn in a school" Key expressed in an interview.  Also attributes the largest part of his music knowledge and understanding to his uncle, Lynn Sells.  Lynn Sells is a minister of music, who mentored Key from as young as 5 years old.
